In our third meeting, we’ll discuss why the financial plan we proposed will help you reach your financial goals, then we’ll implement the plan and continue our relationship.

After 30 years working in the financial services industry and helping employers manage their retirement plans, our founder and CEO, Kate Lewis, decided to use her strategic skills serving companies to help individuals plan their financial futures.  

She purchased a retired advisor’s firm that was established in 1970 and turned it into a wealth management practice offering clients a host of financial planning services. Today, Lewis Financial group maintains the same strategic approach that brought Kate success during her three decades of helping employers manage their company retirement plans.

Kate Lewis, CRPC®, CMFC®

CEO and financial advisor

Kate began her financial services career in 1987 with Aetna, a Voya legacy company. In 2012, she left her role at Voya as the senior vice president and purchased Stewart Financial Group. Since the purchase, the firm has grown its assets under management (AUM) and increased its focus on serving its clients’ best interests.

During her 25 years in the retirement plan business, Kate led high-performing teams responsible for $2 billion in client relationships across 16 states. With experience guiding employer plan sponsors through rapidly changing economic and regulatory environments, Kate now helps LFG clients set (and stick to) their financial goals and effectively manage their investments. She particularly enjoys getting to know clients on a more personal level to help make sure their dreams become a reality. 

Outside of work, Kate is the president of the Milwaukee Montessori School Board of Trustees. Additionally, she and her husband are the co-chairs of the school’s Second Capital Campaign. A horseback riding and skiing enthusiast, she lives in a historic district in Milwaukee with her husband and son.

A graduate of Iowa State University, Kate holds FINRA 7, 6, 63, 65, 26 and 24 registrations. She is licensed in life and health insurance and certified in long-term care.

Brian started his career in 1992 at Voya’s legacy company, Aetna Financial Services, working in the company’s Connecticut home office in various customer service roles. He moved to Milwaukee to be closer to his wife’s family, joining *Lewis Financial Group in 2003. He helps manage advisory accounts, investment research and financial planning services.

With his wife Jackie, Brian enjoys every day of raising their children, Erin and Matthew.

A 1992 graduate of Central Connecticut State University, Brian holds Series 7, 6, and 66 registrations. He is also licensed in life and health insurance.

As our client services manager, Patti Gilgaren combines her knowledge of customer service with her experience in the financial services industry. She joined Voya in 2004 and later Lewis Financial Group in 2011. She is motivated by a sincere desire to help people achieve their goals and works diligently to ensure that client needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.

Give Patti a call and you will notice her delightful speaking voice. Her voice has been put on public display while singing the National Anthem twice for the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park and voicing radio and television commercials.

Completed coursework at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Patti holds FINRA 7, 6, and 63 registrations.
